Miami Tribe of Oklahoma

The ancestral territory of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma are located in the Great Lakes region and include areas that are now the states of Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, lower Michigan and lower Wisconsin. Following the Removal Treaty of 1840, the Miami were moved first to a reservation in Kansas, before being relocated to Oklahoma.
